Almost but not quite. I was over at Meadowbank taking some photo's of the sunset, and went for a wee walk along the trail at the end of Meadowbank road. This lil guy plonked out right in front of me and then just sat on the path doing a whole lot of nothing. Now I'd just walked/hiked (and moaned and complained) 6+ km's mostly uphill. Part of which was scaling the not quite enormous but still quite an effort to walk up Mt Wellington/Maungarei. So I was still a lil tired from that and not thinking too clearly. I reacted without thinking and just started switching to my macro lens to reap the bounty placed on my path ect ect. One set of photo's are probably ok. This one, taken without the aid of a tripod because my tripod is too huge to get this close. I had to switch to the biggest aperture just to keep it focused. So here's the fail. too much of it is out of focus. Sigh. Would have been a great shot had I brought a wee tripod with me. I think its an April Green Cicada if anyone is interested. Correct me if I'm wrong I'm not 100%.
Paper Flower. Its Autumn here in NZ and things are dying away. I liked the texture of this flowers petals, becoming more and more paper like. The mosquito's biting me while I took the shot felt pretty strongly about it too.
Death, Decay and the Rosebud. Ok I know its a rose hip but I re-watched Citizen Kane recently.
