The Memory Chair: 7 exposures, tonemapped in photomatix, made the shadows a bit darker, then given lens vignette effect in PS to make it a bit more dramatic. Of all the items in Highwic house that grabbed my attention this chair really had a hold on me. I began shooting it and before too long realised I'd taken far more sets than I needed. The light was coming in just right from the very small windows on the westward side, seemingly spotlighting it. Each time I've come back to the RAW's in Lightroom and during the post process, this chair has brought back snippets of very old memories for me. More on my Blog

Inside Over Here Original title for this was going to be "Close the door darling, you're letting tomorrow in" but I've changed it to a sort of dedication to Maurice Sendak. I didn't know anything about him as a person when I was kid but I liked the hell out of two of his books, one of which I had forgotten all about until my sister reminded me today. Some months ago I watched him being interviewed by Colbert and I thought the guy was a riot. He came across as across like he was very opinionated, full of fire and passion. Anyway it was just nice to seem that the guy who created such interesting books was also pretty interesting himself. more words can be found on my blog Or follow me on Facebook!
